We are a mother and daughter who create handmade pieces in
wool, fabric and felt from our studio in East Kent.
Our inspiration is drawn from our shared memories, nature and simple pleasures. We want our work to delight and surprise, to evoke moments of celebration, giving and happiness.
Together we knit, stitch and felt found and natural materials. We enjoy combining different textures and evolving our ideas through the process of making. The use of soft, warm and comforting materials to represent familiar objects allows us to create a feeling of closeness and cosiness.
We hope to encourage people to explore the tactile and playful elements of our work by marrying decoration with function.
Our aim is to create a decorative alternative to the jewellery box, where the jewellery enhances and becomes part of the creation.
